Finasteride 5mg and its Proper Usage and Savings

Finasteride 5mg is a drug developed by the pharmaceutical giant, Merck.  The development of finasteride 5mg was purely for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia or the abnormal enlargement of the male prostate gland.  However, during the clinical testing phases of finasteride 5mg, it was discovered that the drug possessed a desirable side effect, particularly for men who have the condition themselves.  Many reports of the side effect came in from men who suffered from male pattern baldness.   They reported that the progression of their hair loss improved and that they stopped losing any hair after a few months into the testing phase of finasteride 5mg.

Merck, the manufacturer of finasteride 5mg, took notice of these reports and conducted its own research on the possible profit-earning side effect that their new drug possesses.  During their research, they found out that it takes only a daily dose of 1mg of finasteride for the desirable result to take effect.  Thus, Merck also released a lower dosage form of finasteride 5mg as finasteride 1mg for the treatment of male pattern baldness.  In essence, with just one formulation but different dosage, Merck has managed to release two products in the market.  Both are highly effective in what they attempt to treat and both also have FDA approval.
